God provides the beauty; all we need to do is look for it

To the Editor:
The Emerald Necklace, a part of the Cleveland Metroparks, starts on the west side in Rocky River by Lake Erie and goes south to the southern part of Cuyahoga County, then east through the eastern suburbs, then north back to the lake. This makes a beautiful green necklace, i.e. the “Emerald Necklace,” a beautiful spot right here in Cuyahoga County.

As Karen and I were driving back home through this park, I started to think how beautiful it is and how beautiful our country is – no matter where you live or where you go, you can find beauty. Everyone has their “beautiful spot.” As we were driving through the park, I thought of how it looked in the winter with the snow covering the stark leafless branches mingled with many evergreen trees – the soft fluffy snow makes these trees very beautiful. No, really, snow can be beautiful. And as it would be, winter gives way to spring, these same snow covered trees are now stark and leafless, but as spring creeps in, these trees start to show life, with light green leaves filling the branches with even greener color, until spring gives way to summer, then BAM! Summer is here! The trees turn a darker green, beautiful foliage mixed with the already green evergreen trees, this is their final color until fall arrives when Mother Nature does her best work. All the green leaves start to dim, but not before they go into the most beautiful array of color, a rainbow of color unmatched by anything man could create – Mother Nature at her best.

God provides the beauty; all we need to do is look for it. This is one of our beautiful spots, where is yours?
