Suspect tries to smuggle pills into jail
North Royalton Police
May 17 – A clerk at a Royalton Road business reported a male who drove out of the business was highly intoxicated around 1:30 a.m. The vehicle was found exiting Dover Farms Drive onto Royalton Road and was stopped after it was seen going over the double yellow line. The driver, Alexander Hays, was arrested for OVI. Hays allegedly tried to bring in four different pills into the jail in his sock, including alprazolam, oxycodone, clonazepam and Viagra. Hays allegedly had a 0.0 blood alcohol content and a urine sample was taken to determine the presence of drugs. He was charged with OVI, speed, no seat belt, weaving, cell phone use, marked lanes, left of center, display of license, plates belonging to another vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of dangerous drugs and felony counts of drug possession and illegal conveyance into a jail.

North Royalton Police
May 20 – A vehicle was stopped on Bennett Road at Nottingham Parkway after an officer noticed a vehicle weaving and going left of center around 11:40 p.m. The driver, Brian Roda, said he was following some friends to a party and a case of beer was spotted in the vehicle. He was arrested for OVI and cited for left of center, marked lanes and cell phone use while driving.

May 20 – A vehicle was stopped for weaving on Sprague Road at Timber Ridge Drive at 1:21 a.m. and struck the curb before stopping. The driver, Patrick Coughlin Jr., 18, of Parma, said he was coming from a Chance the Rapper concert at Blossom Music Center. He was arrested for OVI and underage consumption, but his license was not seized as he tested under the legal limit. Coughlin allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana previously. He was charged with operating a vehicle while drinking underage, weaving, left of center and underage consumption.

May 21 – A male was reportedly found passed out in a front yard on Nottingham Parkway around 12:30 a.m. The man, Steven Kranick, was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested. He was also cited for disorderly conduct.

May 20 – A Valley Parkway resident reported around 5:30 a.m. she found drugs on her husband and he was being physical with her trying to get the drugs back. An officer responded and the wife took out the drugs, believed to be heroin and crack, where she hid them. The man, Sean Doyle, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and cocaine, domestic violence, child endangering and possession of drug abuse instruments.

May 19 – A woman parked at a Royalton Road business allegedly had outstanding warrants. She was confirmed to be Eman Almeraisi, 34, and was arrested. A baggie of marijuana and digital scale were allegedly found. A passenger, who was inside the business, allegedly tried to walk away from officers after seeing them. The man, Rory Pacak, was arrested for obstructing official business and open container after alcohol belonging to him was allegedly discovered.

May 18 – An officer noticed a man was walking along West 130th Street at 3:26 a.m. The man said he had gotten into a fight with his girlfriend and was walking home to Cleveland. He gave a name and Social Security number that was found to be fraudulent as it belonged to a woman. The man, Marchaz Alexander, had outstanding warrants out of Strongsville and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested on the warrants and cited for obstructing official business and falsification.

May 17 – A Harbour Light Drive resident reported he believed neighborhood kids had poured concrete in front of his door. He has had problems with them in the past. The concrete had not solidified and was able to be removed. The man thought the suspect was a juvenile he reported for discharging weapons a few months ago. An officer went to the boy’s residence, and no evidence was found concrete had been mixed there.

May 15 – A Somerset Drive resident reported someone used his credit card to attempt to buy a laptop worth $3,600 off of eBay and send it to an address in Columbus. The transaction was canceled.

May 14 – A rear license plate was taken from a vehicle belonging to a Harbour Light Drive resident. It may have been taken while parked in Cleveland.

May 13 – A vehicle was stopped for expired license on Royalton Road at a business near West 130th Street at 1:31 a.m. The driver, Molly Richuiti, allegedly had a pipe and plastic containers containing marijuana inside her vehicle. She was cited for expired plates, drug abuse and possession of paraphernalia.

May 12 – An Albion Road resident reported around 6 a.m. he believed his mentally unstable neighbor had left bolt cutters in his driveway with a printed note beside it stating “BE NICE AND LEAVE. THANK YOU.” They were informed the department had been dealing with the neighbor’s mental decline and units had been there three times over the last day. The neighbor, David Dix, was cited for trespassing. An officer went to Dix’s house to serve the citation and allegedly saw drug paraphernalia on his person while Dix was signing the ticket. He was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and drug abuse and taken to the station.

May 10 – An intoxicated-looking male came into the apartment office on Oak Brook Lane and then left in a vehicle around 1 p.m. The vehicle was found on Abbey Road and driving left of center. The driver, Kenneth Phillips, of North Royalton, was slow to stop and allegedly had bottles with liquid smelling of alcohol under his seat. He was arrested for OVI (over .17 BAC) and cited for left of center, failure to yield for emergency vehicle and three counts of open container.
