The ESTA Foundation | Behind the Scenes The LRLR ride again! The Long Reach Long Riders completed their 8th annual charity motorcycle ride on July 9th. The ride, which was organized by Greg Williams and Alice Neff, took place across Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming raising over $35,000 for Behind the Scenes and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. During the 2,114-mile ride the LRLR saw lots of wildlife, rode up and down snow covered mountains, and looked on as two of the riders offered marriage proposals to their respective passengers (both said yes). The 2012 ride takes place in the Pacific Northwest and begins on August 3. What better way to pay tribute than to support the charity dedicated exclusively to assisting them in times of crises? This year has been diffi cult for everyone, but even more so for your colleagues who are dealing with serious illness or injury. You can bring them help and hope by remembering Behind the Scenes in your holiday giving this year. Community programs that support Behind the Scenes Our industry continues to come up with creative, ongoing ways to support Behind the Scenes. Please patronize the following companies that have made long term commitments to donate profi ts from the sales of their products: Altman Rentals— the offi cial Behind the Scenes Ghostlight; Andrew Hefter Photography—prints; Apollo Design Technology—Design-a-Pattern Contest winning patterns; Electronic Theatre Controls— iRFR iPhone Application; FocusTrack—SpotTrack; and Rosco Laboratories—Roscolux #359 Medium Violet. We encourage you to come up with your own fundraising ideas that can benefi t your company and Behind the Scenes. FALL 2011 79 PROTOCOL
