The center’s 756-seat interactive concert hall maximizes the audience experience: no seat is placed more than 43 feet from the performance platform, includes nearly 360-degree video projection, and acoustics designed to support a wide range of music. With its system of 10 lifts, the space can transform into 14 different confi gurations. State-of-the-art integrated performance lighting allows for a wide range of confi gurations and artistic possibilities. Not content to contain the experience, the center takes its performances outside to the public, with projecting live performances onto the outer wall and glass walls to provide a glimpse into rehearsal rooms. With the New World Center, Theatre Projects Consultants, Inc. has created a space for education and performance that is a truly unique celebration of the musical form. Designed speci ¿ cally for the needs of entertainment professionals working at height, it meets all applicable OSHA and ANSI Z359-2007 as well as 2009 requirements for assisted rescue.
