Classic Brit 2008 Album of the Year award winners.

2009 will be a momentous year for True's Yard
Museum and Heritage Centre at North Street,
King's Lynn.
Following a successful Heritage Lottery Fund
Award, the museum will be able to expand into
the adjoining historic property, which will in effect
double the floor space.
Building work was due to begin in spring this
year.
From this new space, the museum will gain a
fully-equipped sound archive for recording oral
history and listening to previous material, larger
research and library facilities for students and
family history buffs, and a purpose-built room for
schools.
The fishing smack Activity, which sits in the
yard by the two cottages, will also be restored,
with the award going towards improving the
appearance of the vessel and increasing access
THIS summer, Festival Too
celebrates its 24th year of

As usual, Festival Too has
a fantastic varied line-up,
appealing to all audiences
across all ages.
2009 will bring both tried
and tested and new local

the UK's best tribute acts
including Bon Jovi and U2!
Also confirmed are Eric

Rollers for Saturday, July
4th!
The best is yet to be con-
firmed, so check the Lynn

Festival Too is also
famous for its street enter-

through the addition of a viewing platform and
mast.
The old building that the museum is moving
into also revealed an amazing feature, well pre-
served, which is King's Lynn's last surviving
smoke house.
This will be returned to its original state and
made a museum feature.
True's Yard will now be able to show a much
fuller picture of life, both personal and commer-
cial, in the old fishing quarter of Lynn.
True's Yard looks forward to an exciting and
busy 2009, and hopes to welcome as many visi-
tors as possible to see the new extended prem-
ises, as well as catching up with the current
museum tearoom and gift/book shop.
