USO Europe in close cooperation with
IMCOM Europe and US Army Garrison
Grafenwoehr will soon be offering our
patrons a fully equipped USO Center
within that community's previous com-
missary building #150. As the largest US
Army community outside of the United
States, and the enduring nature of the
7th Army Joint Multinational Training
Commandandtrainingarea,USOEurope
sought military approval and support to
establish this essential Center. This facil-
ity is on track for its'Grand Opening this
Fall Season.
Within Building #150 the 11,500 square foot
facility provides:
Approximately 8,400 square feet of free space
which will be utilized for the primary Center
operations and main lounge area.
Additionally, there is 1,500 square feet of
additional office space which will host the
American Red Cross, and the Grafenwoehr
Better Opportunity for Single Soldiers (BOSS)
offices.
Also available for use by the community is a
700 square foot multi-functional conference
room for classes, Family Readiness Group
meetings, and agency briefings.
USAG Grafenwoehr provided funding to assist with
renovation of the building. USO provided the remain-
ing support to outfit the Center with staff person-
nel, computers, gaming systems, electronics, nine flat
screen TVs, lounge and office furniture, decor and
accessories, and a full-kitchen. The facility is in a prime
location on the main base and co-located in a joint
structure with the Community Bank, Service Credit
Union, and the Army CMR Post Office. This high-traf-
fic area will cater to the many family and community
members who routinely visit these agencies on a daily
basisandestablishedwithincloseproximityoftheUSO

InfantryBrigadearewithinwalkingdistanceoftheUSO
