range of activities and enjoyed
the outdoor living.
"It was all orientated towards
children," said Vicky, a
customer services officer.
"There was a lot for us to do
together during the day and
entertainment in the evening."
Good weather during the day
meant they could go pony
riding, cycle to Pooley Bridge,
hire a boat for half a day and go
fishing. They also enjoyed
barbecues at the campsite and
there was a kids' club for
Olivia.
Vicky said: "While we were
in Pooley Bridge we went in a
caf called Granny Dowbekins.
It was ideal for Olivia because
it overlooked the river and we
fed the ducks.
"We have no regrets about
staying in this country going

Karen said: "They first time
we went out we saw a
humpback whale.
"Everyone else on the trip
was really excited but I wasn't. I
wanted to see killer whales."
Karen's dream finally became
a reality when they saw a pod of
about 60 killer whales on their
second outing and transient
whales with a baby on their
third trip.
"It was amazing," she said.
"They are magnificent
animals."
The second part of their
honeymoon was spent on
Pender Island.
"It was the best holiday ever,"
she said. "The day after a
wedding is a strange time after
all the planning and the
excitement of the day but I still
had a surprise waiting for me."
The couple got married at
Holme Eden Church in Warwick
Bridge, the church Karen's
parents and grandparents had
married in, followed by a
reception at the Roundthorn
Country House Hotel near
Penrith. Karen wore an A-line
Maggie Sottero gown from I Do
in Cockermouth.
She said: "I had done a lot of
the wedding planning with my
mum and so the honeymoon
was something that Andrew was
left to organise.
"It was top secret. He hadn't
told anyone and he had kept the
paperwork at his work."
The only problem Karen had
with her dream honeymoon
was, not knowing where she
was going, didn't know what to
pack and ended up taking too
much.
