Roles: Directors of Lazarus Properties
Formed the company in 1997 and now own more
than 275,000 sq ft of commercial and leisure
space in Doncaster with schemes including
Lazarus Court and Priory Walk. Latest projects
include a newly-opened �12m hotel and retail
development at High Fishergate and plans for a
leisure, office and retail complex on the site of the
Odeon Cinema.
Role: Chief Executive Officer of Powerfuel
Nicknamed King Coal when he bought the coun-
try's pits and formed RJB mining in 1992 after the
privatisation of the coal industry. Co-owner of
Powerfuel which is building a clean coal power
station at Hatfield Colliery set to provide one mil-
lion homes with low carbon electricity.
Role: Managing Director of Prosper de Mulder
The food processing and distribution specialist
has an annual turnover of more than �200m. The
de Mulder family is worth an estimated �130m and
ranked at number 406 on the Sunday Times Rich
List 2009. The company employs more than 1,100
people at 22 sites across the UK. Mr de Mulder is
also a former player and ex president of Doncaster
Knights Rugby Union Football Club.
Role: Chief Executive of Doncaster Chamber
A qualified solicitor and employment judge,
Stephen joined Doncaster Chamber in 2008 and
holds a number of non-executive positions,
including membership of the Discover the Spirit
and Enterprising Doncaster boards. Doncaster
Chamber was named as Employer of the Year in
the Orange Business Awards for the North 2009.
Role: Head of Danum School Technology
College.
In post since 2003, he is an accredited school
improvement partner and also spent nearly two
years as executive headteacher of Hall Cross
School which was named in the UK's Top 100
Most Improved Schools in 2007. Danum School
received a positive Ofsted report in March when
inspectors judged it as good in all aspects and
highlighted significant improvements.

Role: Chairman of DFS Furniture Company
Graham Kirkham founded Northern Upholstery in
1969, later renamed DFS. He has an estimated
personal fortune of more than �300m and was
knighted in 1995. He serves on the board of vari-
ous public and voluntary bodies including the
Animal Health Trust and the Duke of Edinburgh
Awards.
Roles: Chairman of Governors and Interim
Principal at Doncaster College
Mr Wilmot (left) was appointed to the board in
2006. Previously spent three years as chairman of
Doncaster Development Direction (3D), a strategic
partnership set up to spearhead regeneration proj-
ects. Co-founder of Freeserve and one of the
youngest directors of a FTSE 100 company at the
age of 29.
Mr Taylor (right) became interim principal in June
this year. Previously head of Sheffield College and
Park Lane College, Leeds. Former member of the
Learning and Skills Council's National Council and
chairman of the British Educational
Communications and Technology Agency.
Doncaster College employs around 1,200 staff
and student enrolment numbers reached 22,000
last year.

houses. She has more
than 30 years experience
in the housing sector and
