Insurance
When you book your holiday you
are entering into a legally binding
contract. You are therefore strongly
recommended to take out
adequate insurance protection
against the risk of cancellation of
your holiday plus theft, sickness or
accident whilst away.
Cancelled Bookings
If there is a dispute regarding a
cancelled booking we recommend
you seek independent legal advice.
However, the following terms apply
whether you inform the hotel of
your cancellation or simply fail to
arrive on the expected day:
G Your accommodation booking
amounts to a contract between
yourself and the proprietor.
This contract can only be
altered by mutual agreement
whether the booking was made
in writing or not.
G If there is no mutual agreement
to the cancellation, the
establishment is entitled to
compensation for its losses.
G The proprietor must take all
reasonable steps to re-let the
accommodation but can claim for
loss of revenue and expenses
such as advertising and telephone
calls incurred in trying to re-let.

If you are unhappy with your
accommodation please talk to the
owner or manager to give them an
opportunity to fix the problem
during your stay. If the problem is
