The boatclub has also been boosted further this year with the arrival of TSBC ladies from our sister
school; we now have 16 girls who have commenced rowing training, two of whom have raced in
TSBC colours with one win to date.
TSBC have had a great start to the season so
far with 7 (yes, that is seven) wins at Kingston
Small Boats Head with 49 boys taking part,
whilst Hampton Small Boats the following
weekend saw a further 2 prize wins. Two boys
are currently in the running for trials, namely
George Nottidge (one of our joint captains of
boats) and Richard Clarke (J16 Yr 11), we wish
them both well.
The OK row which took place earlier this term from Oxford to Kingston was raising monies for the
landing stage replacement which is urgently needed. The 40 boys who participated raised just over
6k and we can claim the tax back on 3.7k.
Finally, look out for the new TSBC web site being launched at Christmas; you can now also follow
TSBC on Twitter at http://twitter.com/TiffinBoatClub.

Tiffin Gig Night 2009 aka Stop,
Hey, What's That Sound.......?
Oh, what a night! 19th
November 2009
saw the eagerly awaited return of that
special event known as a TGN 9 to be
precise. A magnetizing set of sets by
Tiffin's most electrified talent had a
susceptible audience beemin',
screemin' and teemin' with hysterisis.
Featured artistes were Purple Mile,
Hoax, Jesus and the Disciples,
Chris Bourn and The Highwaymen,
The Portobellos, The Zach Johnson
Project, The Memos, The
Paperplanes, and The Motics. All
oh-so-polite and possibly quite bright
boys, no doubt, in their insulated lives
at school/home. But you give them a
few volts and amps to flux around
with, cute coils to impress, and a
semi-conductor to take charge, and
watt you get are simply electrostatic
Rock Gods.
Will there be more? Oh, yes, there
will!! TGN10 is due 11 February 2010.
Don't miss it!
