King's Lynn Arts Centre
At King's Lynn Arts Centre,
films, drama, live music, come-
dy, children's shows and lec-
tures all feature.
Some of the highlights
include Paddy Ashdown
(Thursday, May 14th); Best Of
The Leicester Comedy Festival
(Saturday, May 16th); Jenny
Eclair (Friday, June 12th) and
The Railway Children
(Saturday, July 11th).
There is also a new series of
exhibitions on display at the
Arts Centre Galleries including
the Eastern Open 40th
Anniversary Exhibition, (until
Sunday, May 10th) which has
evolved into the largest and
longest-standing regional open
competition for Visual Arts in
the country.
Each year the exhibition pro-
vides a mix of innovation and
tradition, not to mention a
unique opportunity to view the
best art on offer in East
England in one place.
Successful works will be dis-
played across the centre's four
gallery spaces.

OVER the weekend of June 6-
7, 42F (King's Lynn) Squadron,
Air Training Corps, will be host-
ing two high-profile events in
the gardens of Gayton Hall,
Gayton, near King's Lynn, by
kind permission of The Earl
and Countess of Romney.
During the afternoon of
Saturday, June 6, The Band of
the Royal Air Force College,
Cranwell, will give a charity
concert in aid of The Royal Air
Forces Association and King's
Lynn Squadron, ATC.
At the time of going to press,

concert had yet to be finalised.

On Sunday, June 7, between
10am and 3pm, there will be
free entry to the grounds,
where experts from the firm of
Keys, Fine Art Auctioneers of
Aylsham, will be on hand for an
Antiques Valuation.
Members of the public can
bring along a maximum of five
items each for the experts to
assess.
A donation of �2 per item
will be asked to cover the cost
of the event, with any surplus
going to 42F (King's Lynn)
Squadron funds.
