Joseph Herther, Electrical
Project Manager for Michael Thomas Development, Glendale, Wis.
I am currently a project manager for a building contractor. I run both commercial and residential jobs
involving every aspect of the trades. I enjoy doing this because every day is something different and
new. I have my own personal job site trailer and my own work truck for which I worked very hard.
Outside of work, I am currently searching for a house to purchase.
Timothy Klinka, Civil Engineering Technology Structural
Engineering technician at Short Elliott Hendrickson, St. Paul, Minn.
About a year after graduation (from Moraine Park) I took a position with Short Elliott Hendrickson (SEH)
in the Heavy Civil Group as a technician. The decision to move to Minnesota was made easier by the
fact that my wife's company is based there, and she was able to transfer without altering her position.
At SEH, I do quite a bit of CAD work. My first job with the company was doing sanitary sewer manhole
inspections in the City of Minnetonka. I learned a lot about gravity sanitary sewers and the causes of
sewer failure. I also created a sanitary sewer location map using a Trimble handheld GPS unit. I now
coordinate all of the GPS activity in our group. I am so thankful for the education I received and the
relationships I formed with my classmates at Moraine Park. There is no way I could have gone this far
without them. Thank you, Moraine Park.

What started as a competition barbeque team with the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) has led to the opening of a new family
restaurant in Fond du Lac. For barbeque lovers this cooking method is a passion, and no one is more passionate about great barbeque
than Dace and Trisha Branson, KCBS judges, owners of the new Branson's BBQ Restaurant and Moraine Park alumni. Dace graduated from
the Culinary Arts program, while Trisha is a Graphic Communications alumna who holds a bachelor's degree from Marian University.
Branson's menu features KCBS award-winning slow-smoked ribs, beef brisket, chicken and pulled pork. The meats are slow-cooked in
clouds of flavorful seasoned hickory smoke for 12 to 16 hours. The restaurant also offers an ample selection of appetizers, side items
and sandwiches, and unique blue-ribbon desserts. If your face and hands don't get messy eating BBQ, you're doing it all wrong!
