Due to unpredictable
weather, flights on
Iceland Express can
be delayed, plus
there are fewer
flights compared to
larger airlines and
airports. Since the
weather is out of your
control, be prepared
for the unex-
pected.
Captain Stephanie Gillespie
booked a flight on Iceland
Express out of Germany and
said"My flight was delayed
due to weather and I had
to wait nine hours for
another flight. On the
return trip I wanted to
push my trip back a day
(due to the delay on the
way there) but they only
fly to Germany three
times a week. I
had to wait two
extra days.
The upside
was two more
days in Iceland,
and the staff at
Iceland Express
was friendly and
willing to adjust
my times without
hassle."

"I manage to save
money on flights
within
Europe by
remain-

Flexibility helps.
Fly on non-peak
days or at unpopu-
lar hours such as the
crack
of dawn, late
in the evening or
the red eye. Book
at extreme ends of
the spectrum, either
well in advance or
wait until the last
sweat inducing min-
ute.

mends the website
www.billigflieger.
de/cnt/flugpreisver-
gleich.php. You simply
input your proposed
flight itinerary and
it searches all the
travel providers for
the best fares. If
your schedule allows,
it may be cheaper to
fly one-way in to an
airport and book your
return trip out of a
different airport.
