EDUCATION OFF-BASE
Venture off military installations and
you will also find a wide assortment of
universities, many of which accommodate
the military lifestyle.
Robert Kennedy College
A private college in Switzerland, Robert
Kennedy College is dedicated to gradu-
ate and executive online education. The
MBA program is ranked among the top
40 on the Financial Times worldwide list-
ing of Top MBA programs. The MBA pro-
gram offers a unique mix of Swiss Quality
Education and British Tradition. There is a
required, minimal on-campus residency of
one week during the two years of the pro-
gram. This makes the program not entirely
online, and at the same time the residency
requirement is not too intrusive. Robert
Kennedy College Professors have gradu-
ated from some of the best universities,
such as oxford university and Harvard
Business School. A distinct feature is that
Robert Kennedy College is the only online
MBA to offer one course (with the relevant
residency) in partnership with Harvard
(http://www.isc.hbs.edu/MoC_universi-
ties.htm). Another advantage is all stu-
dents receive a single award from the
university of Wales (the second largest
British university) that is identical to the one
given to full time students. Students benefit
from the personalized attention offered in
a small Swiss College and graduate from a
large, traditional university at the same time.

"There is very good online interaction with
faculty and experienced class mates which adds
to my learning. I can learn at my own pace, from
anywhere in the world, even with my hectic
travel and busy office life. The residential course,
which I did early during my MBA, helped me in
personally knowing some of the faculty, admin-
istrative staff and students in addition to excel-
lent interaction on the topics covered during the
course." Dr. Sanjiv Kumar, MBA Student 2007
Suffolk University Madrid Campus
Suffolk university is a private university
located in Boston. There are three other
Massachusetts locations along with interna-
tional campuses in Madrid, Spain and Dakar,
Senegal. Academic programs in Madrid focus
on undergraduate studies in liberal arts.
Suffolk Madrid is a fully-functioning campus,
not just a study abroad program; complete
with registrar, housing, student activities and
state-of-the art computer labs. Two years
in the Madrid program will satisfy all basic
requirements necessary during the first two
years at any American university.
university courses are taught in English,
and also Spanish once you progress in the for-
eign language. Classes are small enabling stu-
dents to receive individual support and atten-
tion. This helps with the transition from high
school to college life. Alina Choo, Assistant
Director of Admission for Suffolk university
Madrid Campus, said "Suffolk Madrid is
unique because it allows students to start
their American-style education in historic and
exciting Madrid and then finish their degree
in America's ultimate college town: Boston.
Students prepare for their future in a global
economy, immerse themselves in the Spanish
language, thrive on learning opportunities
beyond the classroom and gain new insights
with an education that spans two continents."
Diversity is an integral part of the Suffolk
Madrid experience. Having classmates from
all over Europe, South America, and Africa has
allowed me to become a more globally aware
student. With such a diverse student body, class
discussions do not solely have an American
focus they also extend to different cultures.
This unique learning environment has been
extremely important in my personal and profes-
sional development, which will be applicable to
any career I decide to pursue. Suffolk Madrid's
diverse student body allows everyone to learn
and grow academically, socially and personally
far more than at traditional American universi-
ties in the U.S." Cameron Broderick, College of
Arts & Sciences, Major: Public Relations
