Wines and Vineyards
T
here is an enormous variety of
regional vintages - from the Corbieres
and Minervois regions of the South of
France, north through the Cote de Nuits and
Chablis vineyards of Burgundy, to the silver
birch "wines" of Moniac Castle in Scotland.
We have developed strong relationships with
many renowned vineyards for over thirty years,
seeing a new generation of viticulturers
combining modern techniques with age-old
procedures. During your time with us, we try to
bring you part of this knowledge through a
gradual exposure to these cultures and
traditions.
There is every opportunity for you to sample
and learn how the vines are grown, cared for
and matured, before being casked, bottled and
ultimately, served with care during your cruise.
In fact, on our hotel barges in France, we serve
around 25 different wines each week, generally from the region through which we are cruising.
And of course, not only does each barge provide a comprehensive and interesting wine list, but also an open bar offering a wide
selection of spirits and liqueurs.
Whether you are a connoisseur or simply know what you like, all of our cruises have
something to offer when it comes to discovering regional wines and vineyards.
Great wines and historic vineyards a journey of discovery.
