Salary �14,000 per annum (pro rata)
Archant London is currently looking to employ two part time Newspaper Sales Executives
to be based from our Ilford offices and work across our large portfolio of newspapers. The
two roles are as follows;
21.5 hours per week over 3 days �7.36 PH
Wednesday, Thursday (9 am � 5.30pm) and Friday (9 am � 4.30pm)
14 hours per week over 2 days �7.36 PH
Thursday (9am � 5.30pm) and Friday (9am � 4.30pm)
Reporting directly to the Group Logistics Manager, the purpose of the role is to maximise
newspaper sales through regular planned retail calls and the effective use of news-billing
operations. The successful candidates will also be heavily involved in the execution of local
promotional activity to maximise sales and raise brand awareness.
If you;
� Have completed a general education
� Have a full EU manual driving license and use of your own vehicle
� Have experience in customer relationship building
� Have previous sales environment experience
� Are self motivated and have the ability to work under pressure and deliver results
� Have good communication skills

We all want a safer London and Special Constables give up their time
each month to make this happen. For many people, it's proved to be an
incredibly rewarding experience. They have the same powers and uniform
as regular Police Officers and the same challenges and responsibilities,
as Special Constable Benjamin Braun discovered.
"It's easy to lose sight of what's important in life. This was the motivation
for me to become a Special Constable. I wanted to do something
completely different and stimulating that would help others in some way.
So becoming a Special Constable was an obvious choice."
For Benjamin, and many others, the wide array of police work allows him
to develop a range of important skills. So whether he's supporting regular
officers on foot patrol, conducting house-to-house enquiries or presenting
evidence in court, there is always something new to take away from it.
"Every incident I attend is completely different to the last. It`s all about
using my judgement, weighing up the situation, deciding the best course
of action and then following it through to a successful conclusion."
Specials take part in everything from tackling underage drinking, criminal
damage along with public order, crime prevention and road safety issues,
but comprehensive training prepares them fully. They don't receive
any financial rewards but, after training, they do get free travel on
London's tubes, buses, DLR, Croydon Tramlink and TFL-operated London
Overground services.
"It's not just the feeling of helping those in need. There's a genuine sense
of team spirit and I've formed a close bond with the other people with
whom I studied at Training School. People from all walks of life become
Specials, all with their own reasons for being here. I can honestly say it's
