Great food should always be on the menu when it comes to enjoying that perfect escape, and
the English Riviera is blessed with a huge number of treats to satisfy those gastronomic palates.
Throughout the resort, you'll find ample restaurants, bistros and pubs, serving up the very best
quality cuisine in stunning surroundings.
Local chefs are able to benefit from the finest
locally sourced seafood, meat and other produce,
ensuring your taste buds are rewarded with
flavours unique to South Devon. Of course,
beautiful backdrops come as standard, whether
you're enjoying some wrapped fish and chips on
harbourside, or the fine wine with stunning views
across the bay.
As you'd expect from an international resort,
choice is everything and it's possible to take a
culinary journey around the world without leaving
the comfort of the English Riviera. As well as the
finest modern European menus, you can also
delight in everything from Indian, Chinese and Thai,
to Moroccan and Mexican and beyond.
For a European flavour, why not visit the
Continental Market, which graces our waterfronts
at varying intervals over the summer months,
including bank holidays. Here you can pick up
mouth-watering goodies from across the Channel,
as well as many arts and crafts souvenirs. For

Riviera Seafood
?
Accolades like Michelin Stars, AA Rosettes and Les
Routiers come in abundance on the English Riviera,
while even several of our fish and chips shops have
won national awards. The area also has a wealth
of country pubs, should you want to enjoy some
hearty fare in warm and traditional surroundings.
Of course, no visit to the English Riviera would be
complete without sampling a mouth-watering
calorie (honest...) Devon cream tea. A speciality of
the South West's dairy land, they can be enjoyed
with stunning views from Babbacombe Downs,
in the tranquil thatched surrounds of Cockington,
(often described as the `prettiest village in England)
or in any number of other scenic spots across the
resort.
So whether you want to enjoy a family meal out
in Paignton, the "catch of the day" in Brixham or
fine dining meal in Torquay, we have it covered. As
they say on the Riviera, Bon Appetit.
