Tickets are now on sale
TICKETS for Cumbria's premier
wedding event are on sale now.
The Live the Dream Wedding
Event, taking place at Carlisle
Racecourse on Sunday, April 26, will
feature all the essentials for your
wedding day under one roof as well
as glamorous catwalk shows and
the winners of the Live the Dream
competition.
If you have just got engaged or
are in the process of planning your
wedding then this is an event not to
be missed. There will also be plenty
of opportunities to get advice from
local specialists, who will be on
hand all day to answer your
questions.
David McNeill, events and
promotions manager, said: "You will
be pampered from the moment you
arrive.
"Tasty treats await you as you are
escorted to the exhibition floors and
there will be something for
everyone."
The event is open from 11am until
5pm and tickets cost �5, both on the
day or if purchased beforehand.
There is a special promotion to buy
two tickets for �10 and get a third
free and they are on sale at
Cumbria Newspapers' Dalston Road
and Bank Street offices in Carlisle
or from The Whitehaven News
offices in Queen Street, Whitehaven
and the Times & Star offices in
Oxford Street, Workington.

ollowing the success of
last year's Live the
Dream competition,
Cumbrian Weddings is
planning something
even better for this April's event.
We are looking for couples who
are planning their dream wedding
to write in and tell us about their
relationship, aspirations and
wedding plans so that we can select
two winners who will be featured in
the April edition of Cumbrian
Weddings and then be invited to the
Live the Dream event.
Before the catwalk show the two
winning couples will be invited on
stage where each couple will be
invited to select and open a box �
inside which will be a star prize of
either a voucher for a wedding
gown and bridesmaid's dress or a
photography package.
Cumbrian Weddings is looking
for a bride to win a beautiful
wedding gown up to the value of
�700, along with a free bridesmaid's
dress up to the value of �200

In order to be considered for the
prize of the dresses, you must be
planning a wedding and must not
have already chosen your dress or
bridesmaid's dress. The dresses
must be ordered by September 2009
to allow them to be ready for your
forthcoming wedding and if your
chosen dress is of a higher value,
the winner will be able to pay the
difference.
The other prize winner will win a
traditional wedding photography
package valued at �650 from DMR
Photography, Penrith. You can
treasure all those special moments
in the beautiful wedding album
which will hold 25
10 x 8 prints taken
by their
professional
photographer on
the day. The winner
will be able to pay
for extra
photographs if they
wish.
This fabulous
prize is valid up
until the end of 2010
and is open to
readers throughout
Cumbria and south
west Scotland.
The two winning
couples, selected by
our panel of judges, will be featured
in the April edition of Cumbrian
Weddings, with a follow-up piece
featured after the Live The Dream
event in our May edition.
To add interest on the day, we will
also be giving away bottles of
champagne to five lucky visitors to
the exhibition.
Entries, including your full name,
address and phone numbers should
include a photograph of the couple
along with their unique story in
approximately 100 words and

to couples who have
yet to book their

Prizes will not be
awarded to anyone
who has already
made a firm booking with any
suppliers. Winners will be able to
upgrade any prizes if desired.
All prizes are non-transferable
and there is no cash alternative.
Employees of any CN Group
company, suppliers participating in
this promotion or their families are
not eligible to enter. The judges'
decision is final in all matters and
no correspondence will be entered
into. Cumbrian Newspapers reserve
the right to amend the rules and
