22 Kaleidoscope
Welcome
Welcome to the fall 2009 edition of
Kaleidoscope, a specialty publication of
Sauk Valley Newspapers that looks at the
trends, topics and issues of people 50 and
older.
For those with parents or other loved
ones facing end-of-life issues, a local
caregiver has created a round-the-clock
hospice service. A new adult day care
facility has opened in Dixon, and a new
hot line has been established specifically
to help senior crime victims.
You can learn about area casinos and
bank travel clubs that cater to the over-
50 crowd, consider estate planning and
retirement advice, and catch a few tips on
eating to stay young.
You'll also meet a musician and his
band who've come out from retirement,
a retired couple who traded books for
baubles, and an octogenarian who proves
it's never too late to change the life of a
child.
Kaleidoscope is mailed or delivered
directly to those who ask for it. For
delivery to your home or business, call
Alison Boothe at 815-625-3600 ext. 681, or
e-mail her at aboothe@svnmail.com.
Thanks for reading.
