Occombe Farm � A working farm with
woodland trails, visitor centre and a fantastic
organic farm shop selling fresh bread and
produce straight from the farm.
Organic Garden at Cockington
Created in the 1700s to provide produce for
Cockington Court, this garden now plays
host to numerous demonstrations on organic
gardening methods.
Clennon Valley Nature Reserve
Situated in Goodrington, this pretty little
nature reserve is home to a number of lakes
full of wildfowl and is a favourite feeding
ground for bats at dusk.
Seabird and Bat Colonies at Berry Head
The 200 foot-high limestone cliff faces
provide ledges that form the perfect breeding
ground for fulmars, kittiwakes and guillemots
� in fact Berry Head has the largest breeding
colony for guillemots on the south coast.
The quarry at the foot of the northern cliffs
is home to a healthy colony of rare Greater
Horseshoe Bats.
Wildlife Cruise � This is a great alternative
way to see the Bay and get close to the
amazing coastal birds and wildlife along
our unique coral coast, part of our UNESCO
Geopark.
Paignton Zoo � The UK's best zoo for
conservation, it's official! Paignton Zoo not
only offers us the chance to see the amazing
species of the world, but is also heavily
involved in their conservation in their natural
habitats.
Brixham
Boasting stunning sea views across the
Brixham breakwater, this site is the perfect
vantage point to watch maritime events such
as the Trawler Race.It is also a Scheduled
Monument due to its importance during
many military campaigns. It is more a natural
landscape than a cultivated one, with trees,
shrubs and grass making up most of the
ground, and in the top area, at certain times
of the year, you will find wild orchids and
bluebells flourishing.

Berry Head National Nature Reserve is home to
significant wildlife populations: greater horse-
shoe bats have a huge colony, guillemots are
among the 200 resident and visiting bird
species and there are 500 plant species (9 of
them very rare, including the wild rock rose).
The promontory is quite magnificent, with
opportunities to explore the northern and
southern Napoleonic forts and breathe in the
views. Berry Head is one of the key sites in the
English Riviera Geopark.

Following the coastline from Elberry Cove
to Brixham, this mature woodland is quite
extensive and includes ruined limekilns and a
sculpture trail, carved from trees damaged by
storms. You can follow a forestry track down
to the delightfully secluded shingle cove at
Churston.

Berry Head, Brixham � Jutting out into the
sea, this is one of the best places to see the
sun set over Dartmoor on the horizon.
Daddyhole Plain, Torquay � Fantastic
views across the Bay from this vantage point
in Torquay.
Sunset Cruises � Where more romantic
than on the water itself, surrounded by the
reflections of the setting sun?
Torquay Pier � Just a short walk from the
town centre, watch the sun disappear behind
Torquay's hills.
Brixham Breakwater � Pretty views to
St Mary's Church along the valley.
Thatchers Point, Torquay � A fabulous
view point looking over the Bay.
This area is accessible on foot by following the coast
path from Broadsands.
