Four GCSEs at grade C or above,
including GCSE English and a
portfolio of completed artwork.
Content
The course is aimed at students
who want to develop their creative
skills through the use of ICT. The
subject units include:
digital photography, stop motion
animation, animation, 2 and
3D modelling and graphical
design. However, there will also
be opportunities to use more
traditional techniques, such as
drawing and painting, as these
are skills that often underpin the
creative use of ICT. Functional
skills form part of this qualification
and will be assessed at the
relevant levels.
Progression
Students can progress directly onto
a creative arts degree, without
the need for a foundation year.
The course also offers routes into
the creative industries, such as
graphical artist.
Attendance
Full time over two years for the
full Diploma.
