picturesque village of Covenham St
Bartholomew on the edge of the
Lincolnshire Wolds and caters for every guest 8211
from those wanting a relaxing drink to those
seeking a more intimate dining experience.
The cuisine is predominately English with a
full and ever changing menu, featuring daily
specials and local, seasonal variations. These
include favourites such as Lincolnshire sausage
with mash and onion gravy made using the
finest local produce. On Sundays the New
Plough serves its renowned lunch menu of
three roasts complete with all the trimmings.
As well as its extensive menu of great British
classics, the New Plough also offers a rather
novel concept 8211 English tapas. Inspired by
proprietor Adrian Graves, diners can choose
from ten mouth watering dishes such as deep
fried calamari, mozzarella and tomato salad,
pork casserole, chilli con carne, barbeque spare
ribs and king prawns in filo pastry.
Being foremost a bar, the New Plough also
has an extensive selection of drinks with a wide
variety of fine wines, spirits and cast ales such
as Batemans. In fact the pub even holds a Cask
Marque accreditation to ensure its real ale is
served to the highest standard.
With such a diverse menu and a relaxed,
friendly ambience, the New Plough will no
doubt have customers returning time and time
