Community Safety Division
Safety is the top concern of Newham's residents.
Over 12 months we are planning to spend almost
10 million on making the Borough safer by reducing
crime and diverting people from anti-social behaviour.
We have a restructured Community Safety Division to
ensure we get the most from our work with the police
and other partners. We are working with residents to
understand different problems in different areas and
targeting enforcement, alongside the police, to tackle
those problems. Crime figures in Newham are coming
down and we want that to continue.
There are a number of exciting roles within the
Community Safety Division and we are looking for the
right people with the right skills to complete our team.
