`Outstanding school with
staff who do a great job'
STAFF and pupils at Friz-
ington Primary School are
celebrating after inspectors
awarded them an "outstand-
ing" Ofsted report.
And the government in-
spectors who visited the
school in December have
written to all 106 pupils to tell
them just how good their
school is.
"We enjoyed our recent
visit to your school," says the
letter.
"We enjoyed meeting you
and looking at your work. You
were helpful and polite and
we were impressed by your
outstanding behaviour."
The Main Street school was
said to be "outstanding" the
highest grade possible in all
of its categories which makes
it one of the top schools in the
country.
"You attend an outstanding
school," continues the in-
spectors' letter to the pupils.
"All the people who work in
school are doing a great job.
Outstanding teaching en-
sures learning is fun, con-
sequently you all make ex-
cellent progress throughout
the school and you play your
part by working hard in
lessons.
"You told us you really en-
joy school and it is a happy
place to be.
"Your school leaders have
devised an excellent learning
programme for you to follow
that makes learning lively
and challenging.
"The staff provide you with
outstanding care and you told
us that you feel safe and know
how to get help."
The letter concludes by
congratulating the pupils on
putting on an excellent
Christmas concert for the
parents.
Head teacher James Black-
well was delighted with his
school's report. "The report
celebrates our children's
hard work and outstanding
behaviour," he said.
"We truly believe all our
children reach their full po-
tential due to the dedication
and hard work of all our staff,
governors, parents and the
children themselves. Above
all, we are extremely proud
that this report really shows
that, at our school, people
matter."
