P18 A weekend break
The phrase`never a dull moment'could have been tailor
made for November there always seems to be so
much going on. Not only is Christmas poking its head
round the corner, but there are plenty of things to do
this month aside from buying those first presents and
deciding where to stage the office party.
There's the BBC Good Food Show for a start; always
hugely popular, it's a mecca for foodies and fans of
Jamie, Gordon et al including MasterChef's Gregg
Wallace, who we spoke to. Also on the food and drink
front, November 12 marks the first day of the Frankfurt
Christmas Market sausages, gluhwein, beer and all
that. I for one can't wait.
This issue we also have interviews with George
Clooney (who has a new film out The MenWho Stare
At Goats) and comedian Bill Bailey, who brings his
personal guide to the orchestra to Birmingham this
weekend.
And if that wasn't enough, there are all the usual
favourites including the indispensable Out & About
guide to the month ahead.
This month also marks a new chapter in the life of the
Birmingham Post; November 12 sees the arrival of the
new quality weekly newspaper. Packed with analysis,
insight and comment, new lifestyle section, seven day
TV guide and, of course, your favourite Living magazine
once a month. There'll be almost 200 pages a week, all
for just 1.
Have a great month.
