Weddings at the Liberty
If you're wearing a beautiful bride gown, for
goodness sake stay away from red wine, pollen
and pets. Why? Because according to a recent
study by wedding specialist Ecclesiastical
Insurance, these are some of the most
common causes for accidental damage to
bridal ware.
Based on claims for bridalwear received last
year, Ecclesiastical has compiled a top ten
causes of ruined wedding dresses. They are:
1. Red wine stain
2. Rips or tears
3. Confetti stain
4. Make-up stain
5. Oil stain from wedding car
6. Cigarette burn
7. Nail polish mark
8. Ink stain
9. Flower pollen stain
10. Food stain
One in five wedding insurance claims
Ecclesiastical receives is for damage to
dresses. In 2007 Ecclesiastical received at least
one claim a week from brides whose dresses
had been accidentally damaged before or even
on their special day. Over the past five years
Ecclesiastical has paid out more than 100,000
for damaged bride gowns.
