Accommodation: NoNorth KestevenThe Bustard Inn, South Rauceby, dates
back to 1860 with a history of royal visits
from Prince Albert, King George VI and
Prince Charles. This beautiful Grade II listed
building was purchased by Alan & Liz Hewitt in
October 2006 and closed for six months for
renovations. This has been sympathetically
managed in order to emphasise the striking
features of the building including the courtyard,
brew house and the ornate oriole window
looking onto the lovely beer garden.
The vision of the current owners was to
establish a much needed facility in the area
providing an elegant but relaxed and informal
restaurant serving delicious food freshly
prepared by highly experienced award winning
chef, Phil Lowe, and his team, and a public
house serving a choice of real ales, keg beers
and excellent wines. Alan & Liz8217s son, Stuart, the
Bar & Restaurant Manager, has several years
experience in the industry including training at
the exclusive Skibo Castle.
Dishes from the Fine Dining Menu include
Honey Glazed Gressingham Duck Breast, Rostii
Potato & Red Wine Sauce. A delicious range of
desserts are also available, such as the Lemon
Cheesecake with Homemade Strawberry Sorbet.
This family run business ensures a warm,
friendly welcome as well as first class service.
Families are very welcome but it is requested
that children under the age of 13 years vacate
the restaurant by 8.00pm.The Bustard Inn & Restaurant44 Main Street, South Rauceby
