the plaice to be this summer!
We'll be reeling in thousands of
seafood-lovers for the 10th birthday of
Pembrokeshire Fish Week � organised by
Pembrokeshire County Council -
between June 27th and July 5th.
The annual event celebrates not just
the county's fresh fish and shellfish, but
also its beautiful coast and beaches,
clean seas, great angling, and fishing
heritage.
"Pembrokeshire Fish Week is a great
chance to celebrate our truly
outstanding seafood and breathtaking
coastline," said organiser Kate Morgan.
There are gourmet seafood evenings,
fresh mackerel barbecues at the county's
harbours, and a crab lovers' weekend.
You can combine a fresh lobster lunch
with a river boat trip, enjoy a sea fishing
or kayaking trip and cook your own
catch, or relax at a sea shanty and fresh
fish supper night.
If you enjoying cooking seafood, be
inspired by the annual fish and shellfish
masterclass or one of the many other
cookery demos and classes.
Outdoor enthusiasts can take part in
waterway, coastal and beach events,
from guided kayak trips to beach activity
and environmental days and rambles on
Skomer Island.
For anglers and those who want to
learn to fish, there are major coarse and
sea angling competitions, coaching days,
have-a-go-at-fishing days, and fishing for
people with disabilities.
Children can enjoy crab-catching,
harbour fun days, beach exploration
sessions, snorkel safaris and seaside-
inspired art and craft.
