The same week welcomes Extract, a
comedy with Jason Bateman as the owner

hardly makes it sound a must-see, its
useful to know that writer-director Mike
Judges last two movies, the magnificent

and, shamefully, didnt even get cinema
releases in this country.
Also out on 12 March is Roman Polans-
kis new movie, The Ghost. Yes, you read
that right: Polanski actually finished his
first cut of the movie the very day he was
arrested and has been involved in post-
production via phone while incarcerat-
ed. Adapted by Robert Harris from his
own novel, the movie stars Pierce Bros-
nan as an ex-British Prime Minister
(widelysupposedtobebasedonHarriss
former chum, Tony Blair) who hires a
ghost writer (Ewan McGregor) to finish
his memoirs, then finds himself under in-
dictment for war crimes. Many have ex-

theres no such thing as bad publicity.
Will the remake of Clash Of The Titans
(26 March) with Avatars Sam Worthing-
ton be the first blockbuster of the year or
will it merely whet our appetite for How
To Train Your Dragon? This rather
impressive looking animated 3D film is
from the talented folk at DreamWorks
and features canny voice work from
Gerard Butler and Craig Ferguson as
unusually Scottish Vikings.
