YWD
30 YOURWEDDINGDAY
An essental part of your wedding
preparations is to consider what beauty
treaments you may need to look your best
on your big day. It's well worth considering
having your hair and make up done
professionaly. Many salons will cater for both
either at the salon or they may even come to
you on the day it may be worth having a trail
run beforehand so you get the look you
exactly want. Most brides opt for a natural
look but remember that your wedding day
make up will be slightly heavier than usal for
your photographs and needs to last all day
and you should only have to reapply your
lipstick.
Your hands will be on display so you need
them looking good. A course of manicures
leading up to the day will get your nails
looking good or you could opt for nail
extensions.
For healthy glowing skin you may wish to
have regular facials leading up to the day so
that you skin looks its best. You can
combine the treatments with a home care
routine, many salons will be happy to give
you advice.
You may also consider using a course of
sunbed sessons leading up to the wedding
to give you a light tan and prepare you for
your honeymoon if you are travelling aboard,
alternitively you may prefer to use a fake tan.
Why not pamper yourself and chill out before
the big day with a relaxing massage!
GET A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP
It's normal to feel excited and nervous and
unable to sleep the night before the big day.
To help you relax and sleep, try the following
exercise once you're comfortable in bed.
With your eyes closed, gently rest your
hands on your abdomen and breathe in
gently, pushing against your hands as you do
so. Breathe out, lingering over the exhalation
until the need for another breath naturally
arises. Continue to think about your
breathing in this way until this slower, deeper,
rhythm has become automatic.
AVOID STRESS
Nobody wants to wake up to a spot on the
day of a big event, especially your wedding
day.
Most people tend to have greasy skin around
the time of their wedding due to stress and
anxiety. So try using peppermint tea as a
toner, after you have cleansed your skin.
Using fresh mint leaves, add boiling water
and leave for five minutes. When the tea has
cooled down, use some on a cotton wool
pad or a small sponge. Apply a few times to
your face and dry with a tissue. If you have
dry skin, use chamomile instead of
peppermint.
