Rookin House
activity centre,
near Troutbeck.
Along with two
Kawasaki 650 Atv
petrol models,
which are used
by the more
experienced
instructors, and
also are used
around the 250
acres of farm
land looking after
sheep, they pull
trailers with food
and carry sheep
when necessary.
The bikes are
used on a variety
of treks starting
with a taster
session for first
timers, followed
by a longer trek,
where you will
encounter, some
banks, hills and
river crossings,
building up to
the one hour
trek for riders
who enjoy a
challenge and
are confident in
their abilities.
Deborah from
Rookin House
tells me that
they tried other
makes of atv
when they
first started the
business but the
cheaper models
always had
trouble with their
chains something
that the Kawasaki
models do not
have.
"Constant back
up and service is
essential as the
bikes are used
on a regular
basis and you
don't want to
let customers
down,"Deborah
continues.
