Quality Counts - Tag and TB Range
"The Bailey tag range of trailers offered an ideal replacement for my other older trailer, "says
Joseph Hetherington of Blue Dial Farm and Caravan Park, near Allonby.
"We recently purchased larger tractors and we decided that it would be an advantage to increase
the size of our trailers," says Joseph.
"In the summertime they are used for silage and grain and in winter bring blends back from
Silloth, I was impressed with the Bailey's build, and paint application and the large tyres help to
spread the weight more evenly. I highly recommend the hydraulic back door for grain as well as
silage, as it swings up and doesn't cause any blockages for silage and also saves time."
Joseph along with his Dad Dennis and Mum Margaret farm 350 acres with dairy, beef and sheep
plus the static caravan park.
The mowers for the caravan park came from Rickerby's too says Joseph.
3,000 acres are farmed on Lowther Estates Near Penrith. They farm Cattle, Sheep, Poultry, Deer
and woodland. Recently they purchased a Bailey Tag 11 trailer from Rickerby Limited, for the
purpose of leading silage with sides on and grain, also mucking out sheds and leading manure to
middens. They find the trailers are well made and sturdy, a good size for accessing gate ways and
the slightly wider tyres don't mark the land too much.
Mr Askew of Kibblesworth Grange is very pleased with his Bailey trailer. He feels that it is very
well made and of solid construction. The back door is a good tight fit essential when carrying
grain, rape, and other small seeds.
The estate of Lord Ravensworth in Northumbria, finds their Bailey trailers perfect for the long
haul that they have to undertake .The trailers are fitted with heavy duty commercial axles suitable
for long haulage. Standard rear doors, sprung drawbars and rollover sheets to protect the grain
complete the trailers attributes.
"Well built, well made, well balanced and well painted,"these are the words that Bailey trailers
bring to the mind of Steven Horsley, Agricultural Contractor. "We have five Bailey trailers, three of
which are used on silage with silage sides, and two with monoque bodies and hydraulic rear doors.
With ten stud axles they are heavy duty trailers ideal for all the road work which we do with them,
he commented, "Our trailers will do in a year what a farm trailer will do in fifteen years, so they
have to be robust and strongly constructed. We like the way that in ten minutes you can easily
remove the silage sides if you wish to use them for another purpose," added Steven.
