Whilst access to remote areas was still
possible with caution during the snow,
farmers are now getting down to the serious
business of post snow maintenance and, in
many cases lambing, according to
Kawasaki's ATV Product Manager, Simon
Riches.
"For many farmers, their ATV has been
crucial during the prolonged cold snap that
hit the UK. Perhaps one of the only vehicles
on the farm that could make progress in the
snow, now the time has come to push them
into service helping with essential
maintenance and special tasks like
lambing".
"Our KLF300 series continues to shine
as a sheep farming stalwart while the
demand for greater power and torque is
satisfied by the CVT equipped KVF360
and the V-Twin KVF650 machines".
With much vulnerable stock being fed
under cover, there are still a significant
number of animals outside on upland farms
as Riches confirms.
"This is the crucial time of year for
sheep farmers. Feeding sheep or perhaps
trailering them to lower ground may only
be possible with the benefit of an ATV.
Whether it's the semi automatic KLF series
or the equally surefooted and dependable
KVF machines, the recent harsh weather
has reminded our dealer network and
farming customers alike of the benefits of a
machine that has become an essential
agricultural tool."
Kawasaki ATVs pull through
the worst winter weather
After some of the worst weather for thirty years - and certainly the hardest that most
younger members of the farming community have ever experienced the thaw has
brought its own challenges according to leading ATV manufacturer, Kawasaki.
"This is the crucial time of year for sheep farmers. Feeding sheep or perhaps
trailering them to lower ground may only be possible with the
benefit of an ATV. "
