come alight on

November 30
when the
a n n u a l
C h r i s t m a s
light switch on
takes place.
During the day
there will be a
D i c k e n s i a n
themed market
with traders
dressed in Vic-
torian costumes.
The market is
organised by the
St Ives Town
Initiative and is
the sixth year the
popular event has
taken place in the
town. Hundreds of
visitors from the
s u r r o u n d i n g
areas are
expected to come
to St Ives to see
the switch on and
enjoy the
C h r i s t m a s
activities.
Shoppers will
be able to start
their Christmas
shopping as the
stalls will be
offering a
collection of
Christmas gifts
i n c l u d i n g
jewellery, food,
s c a r v e s ,
d e c o r a t i o n s ,
cards, clothes and
much more. Many
of the shops will
also be open for
the fun packed
day.
The market will
run from 11am-
6pm and the big
switch on will
take place at
around 4.30pm.
H u n t i n g d o n
Audi, part of the
Vindis motor
group has kindly
donated a
fantastic prize for
the raffle. The
owner of the
winning ticket
will have the use
of a car (the exact
model will be
announced on the
day) for two days.
A fun fair will
keep the children
entertained and
there will be a
selection of food
stalls selling
delicious winter

including a hog
roast stall.
