The Lowlander range of rear discharge
manure spreaders is designed primarily
for the contractor or large scale farmer.
Manufactured to the highest specifications,
this particular type of machine is capable of
handling manure types very effictiively.
Paul Robley Agricultural
Contractor of The Old Smithy,
Low Hesket has two Bunning
spreaders. The MSL75 is compact
and handy for around yards and
tight gateways, but has lower
sides than the new 105 compact.
The Bunning 105 compact also has
twice the carrying capacity, with
its higher sides, but is still smaller
for handling tight spaces. The
beaters are set higher on the 105
too. Paul finds the spread perfect
even with hen muck.
Paul does most contracting
jobs, including buckraking,
silage work, rowing up, tedding,
spraying, fertilizer spreading,
ploughing and sowing. He also has
dump trailers and low loaders.
A. T. Jeffrey, Agricultural
Engineeers of Wisebridge Peebles,
has a fleet of Bunning spreaders,
four x 75's, which were supplied
by Neil Douglas at the Cornhill
branch of Rickerby Limited.
"They are the customers choice,
Alan tells me, "they are the most
popular by far. They are reliable
and strong with a great spread
and dual purpose too. We have
a lot of hen litter up here which
they handle with ease.
The best of both worlds is how
Brian Templeton describes his
Bunning 90 and new 105 Compact
spreaders. The 90 is a little bit
longer than the compact, but has
shallower sides.
The new 105 compact has higher
sides and the same basic capacity.
Both are ideal for accessing tight
gateways and steadings,
Brian said,"My customers are
very impressed by the spread
of the Bunning, it is a good
even spread over a good area. I
think that Bunning are the best
spreaders on the market.
Brian lives at West Bowhill,
Annan and undertakes most types
of contracting including seeding,
cereals, maize, wholecrop, silage
work, combining, muck spreading,
slurry injection and slurry
spreading.
