Helen Louise Meehan, 30, a marketing officer,
and Neil Andrew Clubbs, 28, a project manager
originally from Carlisle, now live in Newcastle.
HOW THEY MET: In a pub in
Newcastle during Christmas 2002
through a mutual friend.
PROPOSAL: A treasure hunt
by Neil around the house at
Christmas 2006 led to a present
under the tree of a diamond
solitaire ring.
VENUE: St Thomas More
Roman Catholic Church,
Middlesbrough.
THEME: Traditional romance.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: A Pronovais
Babel ivory silk gown with lace
bolero.
GROOMSMEN: The groom's
brother Martin Clubbs, 34, was
best man. The groom's nephew
Charlie Clubbs, and the bride's
cousin Charlie Storey, both two,
were page boys.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride's
sister Kathryn Meehan, 24, was
chief bridesmaid. The bride's
cousins Holly Whitfield, 20,
Lauren Storey, 17, Jessica Doyle,
15, were bridesmaids.
FLOWERS: A teardrop bouquet
of aqua and heart roses with lilac
freesia and ivory dendrobium
orchids for the bride.
RECEPTION: Redworth Hall
for a four-course-meal for 100
guests with an additional 30 in the
evening. Cumbrian sausage and
bacon baps at midnight.
CAKE: Three-tiered round fruit
cake topped by floral display with
petals scattered down the cake.

PROPOSAL: Adam took Marie
on a trip to Paris for her 21st
birthday and proposed at the top of
the Eiffel Tower.
VENUE: Holme St Cuthbert's
Church, Mawbray � the same
venue as the bride's parents.
THEME: Pink, gold and
sparkles.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: An ivory
satin strapless gown from
Champagne Brides, Workington.
GROOMSMEN: The groom's
brother Gary Pearson was best
man. The bride's godson two-year-
old Owen Pattinson, Ben
Woodburn, and Craig Taylor, both
four, were page boys.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride's
sister Carrie Strong, 28, was chief
bridesmaid. The groom's cousin
Rebecca Pearson, 22, and the
bride's cousins Jodie Pape, five,
Charlotte Taylor, 13, Katie Taylor,
11, Megan Taylor, 10, Laura Taylor,
and Nicola Taylor, both seven were
bridesmaids.
FLOWERS: A cerise pink rose
posy with sparkles for the bride
while the bridesmaid had cerise
pink and ivory rose posies. Made
by Brenda Sim, Abbeytown.
TRANSPORT: An Audi R8, a
blue Beauford Tourer, a blue and
ivory Daimler, an ivory Mercedes
Benz and a black Touran.
RECEPTION: At the bride's
parents' farm for 120 guests with
250 in the evening at the White
Heather Hotel, Kirkbride.
TABLE SETTINGS: Gold
candlesticks with an ivory candle
and pink ribbon with scattering's
of rose petals.
FAVOURS: Ferrero Rocher
chocolates tied together with pink
ribbon for the men while the
women received pink organza bags
with a gold butterfly clip filled
with pot-pourri.
CAKE: A white iced cake
decorated with pink sparkly
fireworks made by Rubena
Stamper of Kirkbride.
FIRST DANCE: I Don't Want To
Miss A Thing by Aerosmith.
ENTERTAINMENT: Disco by
MB'Z of Maryport.
HONEYMOON: Turkey, booked
an hour before the wedding.
