HOW THEY MET: In Buskers night club.
PROPOSAL: Dubai while on their first
holiday together April 5, 2003.
VENUE: The Greenhill Hotel Wigton. They
walked out of church to The Liverpool anthem
You'll Never Walk Alone played by their church
organist.
THEME: Burnt orange, bows and candles.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: A Moncheri bridal gown
spun gold and oyster, embodied detailed on the
bodice with gems and full tulle skirt with train
all from The Wedding Barn, Appleby.
GROOMSMEN: Tony Christian, 25, was best
man. Daniel Harrison, the bride's brother James
Kenyon, both 26 were ushers. Two-year-old
Morgan Errington-Dodds was a page boy.
BRIDESMAIDS: Gemma Errington-Dodds,
26, was best woman. Angela Carr, 25, three-year-
old Mia Errington-Dodds and 22-month-old
Amelia Sawyers were bridesmaids.
FLOWERS: For the bride a hand-tied bouquet
orange calla lilies with cream roses.
TRANSPORT: 1930-style cream Rolls Royce
and a 1937-style Rolls Royce from Cars Of
Distinction of Langwathby.
RECEPTION: A champagne reception at the
Greenhill Hotel, Wigton for 110 guests.
TABLE SETTINGS: Vases filled with orange
calla lilies and grass.
CAKE: Three-tier cake with layers of Belgium
chocolate cake filled with ganache and fudge.
FIRST DANCE: My Endless Love by Lionel
Ritchie and Diana Ross
ENTERTAINMENT: Orange Juice Jones and
the floaters band and Jubilee discos.
HONEYMOON: Bangkok, Hua Hin, and
Dubai.
PHOTOGRAPHER: Paul Mortimer, of Carlisle.
VIDEOGRAPHER: Stewart Groves of
Aperture, Carlisle.
Hayley Elder, 24, a legal
secretary and Lee James Wall, 33,
a supervisor, live in Carlisle.
HOW THEY MET: Through
mutual friends in Lloyds Bar in
January 2007.
PROPOSAL: On January 1,
2008 at the stroke of midnight
under the fireworks at Yumbo in
Gran Canaria. Lee proposed with
his late mum's engagement ring.
VENUE: The Lodore Falls
Hotel, Keswick.
THEME: Autumnal.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: An ivory
Sincerity gown embroidered with
crystals, pearls and diamantes
with long train; a cathedral
length veil and tiara scattered
with diamantes and pearls from
Country Dreams, Carlisle.
GROOMSMEN: Robert
Copeland was best man.
Jonathan Watson, Mark
Routledge, Giles Vasey, Ian
Johnstone, Mark Quinn, the
bride's brother-in-laws Stuart
Riley and Paul Metcalfe, the
groom's nephews Michael
Handford, Alex Handford, James
Bell, William Bell were
groomsmen. The bride's nephews
Ryan Metcalfe, six, and Luis
Metcalfe, three, were page boys.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride's
sisters Lyndsey Riley, 31, and Gail
Metcalfe, 29, were bridesmaids
and wore Dessy firecracker
colour dresses from Capricorn,
Carlisle. The bride's niece three-
year-old Alia Riley was a
flowergirl.
FLOWERS: A teardrop
bouquet of roses, lilies, gerbera,
ivy, twigs and berries for the
bride while the bridesmaids had
similar hand-tied bouquets.
RECEPTION: Champagne
reception at Lodore Falls Hotel
for a five-course meal for 83
guests with a further 60 in the
evening for an oriental finger
buffet.
FAVOURS: An ivory candle in
a glass heart-shaped pot wrapped
in ivory organza for the ladies,
personalised handmade cards for
the men with lottery tickets.
CAKE: A three-tier ivory
square cake decorated with
flower bouquets of berries, ivy
and roses and autumnal leaves.
