BRIDE'S OUTFIT: A light gold
Maggie Sottero gown with dia-
mante and pearl bodice and
matching tiara, from The Wed-
ding Warehouse, Carlisle.
GROOMSMEN: The bride and
groom's best friend Gary Tiffen
was best man. Friends Graham
Broatch and Gareth Bambford
were ushers. They wore black
Prince Edward suits with light
gold waistcoats and teal ruffle
tie, from The Wedding Ware-
house, Carlisle.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride's sis-
ter Caroline Fell was chief
bridesmaid. The bride's best
friends Emma Smith, Hannah
Brown and Kristina Dooley
were bridesmaids. They wore
teal coloured dresses from
Country Dreams Bridal,
Carlisle.
FLOWERS: The bride carried a
bouquet of light gold roses with
ivy and the bridesmaids car-
ried light gold rose posies, from
Basket and Bunches, Wigton.
TRANSPORT: A vintage Rolls
Royce for the bride and groom
and a Dorchester for the
bridesmaids from Cars of Dis-
tinction, Langwathby.
RECEPTION: A marquee in the
father of the bride John Fell's
garden in Aikhead near Wigton
for 108 guests during the day
and 40 guests in the evening.
TABLE SETTINGS: Single stem
vases with a single gold rose,
bear grass and gypsophilia,
handmade by the bride's aun-
tie Margaret Riddick.
FAVOURS: Cream boxes with
gold ribbons and a single rose
on top with Belgium chocolates
inside, handmade by the bride,
the mother of the bride Alyson
Fell, the bride's auntie Mar-
garet Riddick and family friend
Sharon Alison.
CATERING: Spice Catering,
Longtown, provided the meal
in the afternoon and Geltside
BBQ's, Longtown provided the
hog roast in the evening.
CAKE: A three-tier cake of fruit
loaf and lemon sponge decorat-
ed in ivory coloured icing with
gold love hearts and a spray of
light gold roses and ivy, made
by Jackie Steele, from Dun-
draw near Wigton.

HOW THEY MET: On a night
out in 2004 although they didn't
become a couple until January
2005 when, on their second date
they were stranded for two
days due to the Carlisle floods.
PROPOSAL: Home, February 2008.
VENUE: St Martin's Church,
Brampton.
THEME: Black and white.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: Ivory gown
with black embroidery and
crystals from Country Dreams
Bridal House, Carlisle. Fresh-
water pearls and Swarovski
crystals handmade by Je Varah
Tiaras, Carlisle. Ivory satin
shoes from Mia Bridal, Carlisle.
GROOMSMEN: The groom's
brother Saul Bennett was best
man. Ushers were the bride's
brothers Keith Hodgson, Paul
Hodgson and James Simmonds,
and the groom's brother Geof-
frey Bennett. The ring bearer
was Jack Hodgson, the bride's
brother.They wore ivory waist-
coats with silver accessories
from Greenwoods.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride's sis-
ter Laura Simmonds was chief
bridesmaid. Bridesmaids were
bride's sister Beth Hodgson
and friends Sarah Nelson and
Kerry Bone. They wore ivory
dresses with black satin pat-
tern from Debenhams. Alix
and Niamh Fiddler, daughters
of the bride's friend, were flow-
er girls and wore Next ivory
flower summer dresses and BHS
diamante tiaras and boleros.
FLOWERS: Arctic roses with
black ostrich feathers by bride's
friend Karen Lockhart. Church
flowers from Stacey's, Carlisle.
TRANSPORT: White Lincoln
classic wave limousine, deco-
rated with black ribbons from
First Class Limousines, Penrith.
RECEPTION: Swallow Hilltop,
Carlisle for a champagne and
strawberry reception for 50
guests followed by a wedding
breakfast. An evening recep-
tion for 250 guests including a
pie and pea supper and disco.
TABLE SETTINGS: Goldfish
bowl centre pieces filled with
black and white stones and arc-
tic roses made by Karen Lock-
hart, and white table cloths
with black napkins and silver
mini picture frame settings
with the place cards inside,
made by the bride and her
bridesmaids.
FAVOURS: Cards designed by
Kate Aspen with scratch cards
inside for the men and soaps in
black and white Victorian
boxes designed by Kate Aspen,
bought from the internet.
CAKE: Five-tier fruit and vanilla
sponge cake in black and white
damask design made by the
bride's aunty Marian Holliday.
FIRST DANCE: A Million Love
Songs, Take That.
ENTERTAINMENT: Disco by
Mike Harding, Carlisle.
HONEYMOON: Cuba.
