HOW THEY MET: On a blind date.
PROPOSAL: At a romantic meal, December 2006.
VENUE: Hundith Hill, Lorton.
THEME: Purple and white.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: A strapless Venus Exclusive
gown with a waterfall-effect skirt, fitted bodice
embellished with antique beading and
embroidery from Champagne Brides, Workington.
GROOMSMEN: The groom's brother John
Shaw was bestman. The bride's brothers Philip
and Jonathan Reay were ushers. They wore grey
suits with silver or purple waistcoats and cravats
while the groom wore a black Prince Edward suit.

BRIDESMAIDS: The bride's sister-in-laws
Paula and Catherine Reay, the bride's cousin
Emma Lawson and KatrinaWedgwood were
bridesmaids. They wore strapless A-line
aubergine coloured gowns.
FLOWERS: Tear-drop bouquets of roses and
calla lilies from Cottage Garden, Cockermouth.
TRANSPORT: Two Mercedes and a Beauford
from A Touch of Class, Workington and a vintage
style coach AEC Regal from Bowman's Coaches.
RECEPTION: Hundith Hill for 50 guests with
106 in the evening.
CAKE: Petal shaped three-tier cake made by
Mandy Maphers.
FIRST DANCE: Feels Like Home by Chantal
Kreviazuk.
HONEYMOON: York.
