HOW THEY MET: They knew
each other for years before
becoming a couple.
PROPOSAL: On Christmas
Day with an engagement ring
wrapped up under the Christmas
tree.
VENUE: All Saints' Church,
Allhallows, Mealsgate.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: An ivory
silk strapless dress with
diamante-gathered waist from
Dresses and Dreams,
Workington.
GROOMSMEN: Simon Lettice
was best man.
Ushers were the bride's
brother Thomas Marr, the bride
and groom's brother-in-law
Adrian Blair, the groom's cousins
Christopher Thwaite and Adam
Thwaite, and Stephen Benson.
Josh Temple and Daniel Raven
were page boys.
They wore black tail suits,
ivory shirts, gold waistcoats and
antique silk gold scrunch ties
from Tom Little, Maryport.
BRIDESMAIDS: Kimberly
Young and the groom's sister
Lucy Faulder were matrons of
honour.
Rachael Harker, Kayleigh
Rumney, Megan Rumney, Ellie
Temple, Jodie Forrester and
Claire Temple were bridesmaids.
They wore strapless two-piece
gold dresses from Champagne
Brides, Workington.
The younger bridesmaids wore
ivory satin dresses with a sparkle
tulle from Little Angels,
Workington.
FLOWERS: The bride carried
a bouquet of roses, orchids and
calla lilies and the bridesmaids
carried a tied bunch of calla lilies
and gold heart baskets filled with
rose petals, all by Elaine
Forrester of Fearon Flowers,
Workington.
TRANSPORT: Ivory Beauford
and ivory Daimler limousine
from Silver Lady Wedding Cars,
Longtown.
RECEPTION: A Pimms
reception and evening meal at
the Greenhill Hotel, Wigton for
200 guests.
TABLE SETTINGS: Fish
bowls filled with calla lilies and
tea-lights, by Elaine Forrester of
Fearson Flowers, Workington.
FAVOURS: Heart-shaped
chocolates in gold hand-tied bags,
from Saunders Chocolates,
Rheged near Penrith.
CAKE: A three-tier round fruit
cake with embossed heart detail,
decorated with sprays of
handmade sugar orchids, calla
lilies and roses to compliment
Kathryn's wedding flowers.
A round three-tier chocolate
cake with a chocolate ganache
filling, chocolate hearts and
champagne chocolates was made
for the groom.

Crummock Water, one of
Clare's favourite places as
she grew up in the area.
VENUE: A surprise
wedding at Storrs Hall,
Windermere with 14 guests
followed by a lake cruise with
champagne reception.
THEME: Black and cream.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: A
strapless light gold dress by
Maggie Sottero with an ivory
shoulder wrap, bought
through Welsh Brides.
GROOMSMEN: The
groom's brother Alan Barlow
was best man and Nigel
Brown and Tony Harrison
were witnesses.
BRIDESMAIDS: The
bride's sister Karon Landells
and the groom's sister
Sharon Barlow. They wore
black beaded gowns from
Debenhams.
FLOWERS: Hand-tied
cream roses and eucalyptus
with diamante detail from
Cochrane's Nurseries,
Longtown.

RECEPTION: Afternoon

followed by fish and chips
and bacon butties at 10pm.

Saint's Rooms, Cockermouth
for family and friends who
didn't attend the wedding.
