Leesa Heron, 29, and David Edwards, 31, both
police officers, live in west Cumbria.
HOW THEY MET: Through
work in 2005.
PROPOSAL: In February 2007
in Paris. Following a candlelit
meal, David proposed on one
knee at the top of the Eiffel
Tower and they then went on a
moonlit cruise on the river Seine.
VENUE: St Paul's Church,
Seaton. The bride followed a
bagpiper into the church.
THEME: Pearl white and ice
lilac.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: A Mori Lee
strapless white pearl tulle gown
with pearl and crystal detail and
a long, detachable train.
A Linzi Jay tiara and a white
veil, both decorated with
Swarovski crystals.

GROOMSMEN: The groom's
brother Matthew Harckham-
Edwards was best man. Ushers
were the bride's brother-in-law
Riki Doyle and the groom's
friend Stuart Joiner.
They wore black and
pinstriped Prince Edward suits
with pearl white waistcoats, from
Greenwoods, Workington.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride's
sister Lynsey Doyle was maid of
honour. The bride's friends
Lynsey McVay, Kelly Airlie and
Tracy Palmer were bridesmaids.
They wore Dessy ice lilac
strapless dresses from Cumbria
Bridal Centre, Workington.
The bride's god-daughter
Amber Sinclair was flower girl
and wore a white fairy dress.
FLOWERS: The bride carried
a teardrop bouquet with white
and pink roses and lilies with
diamantes and pearls, from
Seaton Garden Centre.
TRANSPORT: A burgundy
and ivory Badsworth Landaulette
for the bride and groom and two
burgundy and ivory Daimlers for
the bridesmaids, parents and
grandparents, from Highams
Wedding Services, Hayton.
RECEPTION: A Pimms
reception and wedding breakfast
for 75 guests at Dalston Hall
Hotel with a further 65 guests in
the evening.
TABLE SETTINGS: Large
candelabras supplied by Dalston
Hall Hotel and tall Martini
glasses filled with flowers from
Bloomsberry, Carlisle. The tables
were covered in pink petals.
FAVOURS: Star-shaped wine
glass decorations from Lakes
Home Centre, Cockermouth and
butterfly-shaped champagne-
filled chocolates from Saunders,
Rheged, near Penrith. The men
received lottery tickets.
CAKE: A four-tier cake with
white sponge and fruit decorated
with pink butterflies, glitter and
silver hearts, made by family
friend Muriel Hetherington.
FIRST DANCE: From This
Moment, Shania Twain.
ENTERTAINMENT: DJ
supplied by Dalston Hall Hotel.
HONEYMOON: Devere
Mottram Hall health spa, and
Sharm El Sheik, Egypt.

November 2006.

THEME: Black, white and
silver.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: A
white strapless eternity gown
with diamantes and full train
with a white satin-trimmed
veil from I Do, Cockermouth.
A diamante tiara and
white satin shoes from
Jimmy Choo, London.
GROOMSMEN: Liam
Teasdale was best man. Ryan
Cuthbertson, Craig
Cuthbertson, John Nairn,
William Young, Nicky
Morton, David Halsall and
Gareth Jenkins were ushers.
Luke Cuthbertson was
page boy and ring-bearer.
They wore Prince Edward
suits from Dresses and
Dreams, Workington. The
page boy wore a suit from
Little Angels, Workington.
BRIDESMAIDS: Lindsay
Magean was maid of honour
and Andrea Morley was chief
bridesmaid. Sarah Carter,
Shelly Robertson, Helen
McKrill, Hayley McTear and
Jackie Hodgson were
bridesmaids.
Caitlin Young, the bride's
niece, and Kasie Berwick
were flower girls and wore
white dresses with full tulle
skirt and diamante.
FLOWERS: The bride
carried a teardrop bouquet of
silk black roses, white calla
lilies, white orchids and ivy.
The bridesmaids carried
hand-tied calla lilies and ivy
and the flower girls carried
white teddies, all from Floral
Design, Workington.
RECEPTION: Bucks fizz
was served after the
ceremony followed by an
evening buffet for 130 guests
at Hunday Manor Hotel,
Workington.
TABLE SETTINGS: Tall
glass vases filled with black
crystals and black and white
orchids on mirrors with
candles and real black rose
petals scattered on the tables.
FAVOURS: Bohemian
lemon soaps for the women
from Lush, Carlisle in a
black box with silver ribbon,
miniature bottles of Jack
Daniel's or Jagermeister for
the men and books and
chocolates for the children.
CAKE: A four-tier fruit
cake with black and white
sugarpaste orchids with a
mini Kelly and Karl on top
decorated by family friend
Jackie Hadley, of Dearham.
Lemon and white chocolate
muffins from Marks and
Spencer were offered as an
alternative.
FIRST DANCE: All About
