Andrea Tingey, 33, a technician and Andrew
Fairfield, 37, a team leader both work for the
National Nuclear Lab. They live in Moor Row.
HOW THEY MET: They
knew each other from work but
got together on a night out in
Whitehaven in May 2003.
PROPOSAL: On the last
night of their holiday in
Orlando Florida in September
2007 Andrew proposed in front
of Cinderella's castle at the
Magic Kingdom after the
fireworks had finished.
VENUE: Disney's Wedding
Pavilion, Orlando, Florida.
BRIDE'S OUTFIT: An ivory,
duchess satin dress encrusted
with crystals and beads from
Champagne Brides of
Workington. A Swarovski
crystal tiara from I Do,
Cockermouth.
GROOMSMEN: They had no
groomsmen. Andrew wore a
charcoal grey Prince Edwards
suit supplied by Tom Little of
Maryport. The male family
members wore their own Jeff
Banks charcoal grey suits.
BRIDESMAIDS: None
FLOWERS: The bride had a
bouquet of white calla lilies
and roses.
TRANSPORT: A vintage
style white Rolls Royce and a
white limousine.
RECEPTION: A cake and
champagne reception for 11
guests. The evening reception
was on board the Grand One
yacht, a buffet was served
whilst cruising the seven seas
Lagoon before mooring up in
front of the Magic Kingdom for
the Wishes Fireworks display.
On their return they had a
party at the Hunday Manor,
Workington for 150 guests.
CAKE: A two-tier chocolate
cake with a Minnie and Mickey
cake topper. At Hunday Manor
they had a three-tier chocolate
cake in the form of suitcases
made by Gillian Marr of
Mealsgate.
FIRST DANCE: Love Of A
Lifetime by Firehouse.
HONEYMOON: Disney's
Grand Floridian Resort and
Spa then on to Portofino Bay
Hotel on site at Universal
Orlando resort.
