Fairy BallAfairy-themed Charity Ball at the Haycock Hotel in
Wansford was a massive success and raised over
16321,000 for Anna8217s Hope.
Anna8217s Hope is a charity inspired by local girl Anna
Olivier Hughes, who died from a brain tumour in 2006
aged just three years old. Brain tumours are the biggest
cancer killer of young people, and the charity aims to
raise over a million pounds to help Addenbrookes8217
Hospital find specialist nurses and rehabilitation support
in the region.
Anna8217s mum Carole was
amazed by the generosity of
guests on the evening and local
businesses who donated prizes
and gifts for the event. Carole
wore a magnificent ballgown in
the charity8217s colours of pink and
blue, donated by the Strand dress
shop in Stamford. Mark Saggers,
the BBC Radio Five Live presenter
who is a patron of Anna8217s Hope,
