Restaurant is a testament to
traditional Thai cuisine. On entering
the restaurant, you instantly feel at
peace. This is what Exotic Thai prides
itself on, offering authentic Thai
cuisine at its best in a comfortable,
relaxing and friendly atmosphere.
Exotic Thai is the only Thai
restaurant in Scunthorpe. Surrounded
by bars and nightlife just up the road
its location is ideal.
The restaurant itself is wonderfully
bright with a comfortable waiting
area, and with the capacity to
accommodate up to 70 guests.
Customers like to come in and enjoy a
drink from the extensive selection of
beers, wines and spirits and then
indulge in a meal from the equally
impressive menu.
We enjoyed a meal at the Exotic
Thai Restaurant recently and it was
certainly a unique experience.
After being offered a seat by the
friendly staff we chose our drinks and
waited for our food, the music echoed
the relaxed ambiance and as I saw a
couple nearby enjoying their colourful
meal I eagerly anticipated ours.
Our starter was a tasty platter of a
selection from the menu, Gai Satay,
Gung Hom Pha and Po Pia Tord to
name but a few. Deep fried vegetable
spring rolls, charcoal grilled chicken
marinated in Thai spices and delicious
filo parcels stuffed with vegetables, all
of which were accompanied by a
selection of Thai sauces.
The main course followed shortly
after, served by our friendly waiter
who commented, 8220Our fish selection
is quite good.8221 The sheer dedication
from the extensively trained Thai
chefs is evident in the presentation of
the food. Paying attention to detail, it
is literally a work of art, with taste
equally matched. Our main course
consisted of a colourful array of
seafood which included prawns,
shellfish and a whole sea bass cooked
to perfection, deliciously tender flakes
and boneless, accompanied by a hot
sauce that added a sweet yet fiery taste
to the platter.
The dessert menu is one not to be
neglected either, again with attention
to the finest detail the presentation is
well above average.
The greatest care is taken to ensure
that customers enjoy their food and
really get a taste for genuine Thai
cuisine. If you are looking for an
authentic experience or just
something different then a visit to the
