The illuminated procession leaves
Chalkwell Shelter,travels along
Western Esplanade to Marine
Parade,where it stops for a
fireworks spectacular,and ends at
Eastern Esplanade.
Other August events taking place
in Southend include the sailing
barge match and regatta on August
23 and the town8217s Summer
Garden Show which takes place in
Garon Park in Eastern Avenue,
Southend,from August 23 to 25.
And last but by no means least,
there is the Fresh Festival at the
Mercury Theatre in Colchester,
run by the various youth theatres
based there.This year8217s offerings
are Trelawny of the Wells and
Arabian Nights,performed by the
youngsters from August 28 to 30.The world famous Red Arrows
will be at Clacton Airshow
again this year,entertaining
