were made to feel welcome and were
greeted with friendly smiling faces.
After choosing our drinks, we took
time to relax in the spacious bar,
which is perfect for those wanting to
enjoy drinks with friends. After a few
moments we were shown to the
upstairs dining area where,
throughout, the d233cor is simple but
delightful. The friendly waiter ensured
all our needs were catered for all
night. We both felt like celebrities, but
that8217s true for all the guests.
For starters, my partner chose the
king prawns drizzled in a garlic and
chilli sauce, while I opted for the fried
mozzarella rested on a bed of salad. The
presentation of the food was incredible
and nothing looked out of place.
Shortly after, our main meals arrived.
My partner chose the succulent
Lincolnshire bred fillet steak with
home cooked chips and a side of
mouth watering salad, while I chose
the fresh prawn and scallop skewers,
again with home cooked chips and
locally grown vegetables. The two
chosen meals were brought out on
Why Not?8217s famous black rock, which
your main meal is cooked on right in
front of your eyes - so you can be sure
to have the food to your specific liking.
Again, the presentation of the food
was immaculate. My partner
commented on the local bred steak
and how the taste was incredibly
satisfying. I couldn8217t help but notice
the crisp fresh vegetables that lay
looking wonderful on my dish and
complemented the full flavoured
prawns and scallops.
We couldn8217t miss out on the
desserts, so my partner chose the hot
chocolate fudge cake with fresh clotted
cream and I just couldn8217t resist the
dark chocolate mousse. When they
appeared, they looked like an oil
painting by a famous artist, with each
plate decorated with thought and
imagination. The taste was even better.
With such unique style, Why Not? is
defiantly for those who enjoy the finer
things in life 8211 with most ingredients
grown within a thirty mile radius.
