generation Fiesta will be
available in the autumn.
More than 12 million Fiesta
models have been sold since its
introduction in 1976,and the
arrival of this latest Fiesta opens
another chapter in the story of
Ford8217s most successful small car.
The eye-catching new model is
based on Ford8217s Verve concept.It
is both lighter and stronger than
before,and will be offered with
both three and five doors.
Inside,the Ford Convers+
system 8211 already on the Mondeo,
S-MAX and Galaxy models 8211 will
be available,just one of several
new features,including keyless
vehicle technology symbolised by
ae 8216Ford Power8217 button on the
instrument panel.
The new centre console features
a tray for MP3 players with built-in
sockets for an auxiliary audio and
USB cables,along with the
traditional 12-volt outlet.This
allows the car's audio system to
control and charge the MP3 player.
The 1.25-litre and 1.4-litre
Duratec petrol engines are joined
by a new 1.6-litre Ti-VCT option
which provides an additional 15PS
over the outgoing model,and
TDCi common-rail diesel engines
will continue to be offered.

production of the TF LE500
sports car will start at the
Longbridge plant in Birmingham at
the beginning of August,with the
first cars delivered to showrooms
in September.
The new car is expected to
appeal to a wide range of car
buyers,including existing small
sports car owners looking to
upgrade,current owners and the
large band of MG enthusiasts.
With the new TF LE500,the
company knows it is re-launching
one of the best known brands in
the world.Whilst production
efforts at Longbridge are focussed
on the LE500,designers at their
SMTC facility in Leamington,
Warwickshire,are already
planning new MG models that will
capture the essential qualities of
the MG brand and extend the
