LIFE
IS
GOOD.
Yo
u8217ve
just
enjoyed
a
delicious
three-
course
gourmet
meal
and
now
you8217re
off
for
a
soak
in
the
Jacuzzi

an

Pe
rhaps
later
in
the
evening
you8217ll
have
a
massage,
or
simply
relax
with
a
lovely
glass
of
red
wine
in
front
of
the
giant
plasma
television.
This
isn8217t
a
five-star
hotel,
but
a
ski
chalet
in
the
heart
of
the
French
Alps.
Not
just
any
old
ski
chalet,
however
,
this
is
Chalet
Ye
llowstone:
the
jewel
in
the
Premiere
Neige
crown,
the
Savoy
of
Sainte

y.
But
as
much
as
I
was
impressed
by
the
enormous
rooms,
the
delightful
staff,
the
roar-
ing
log
fire
and
the
invigorating
sauna,
I
was
really
here
to
do
one
thing
8211
learn
how
to
snowboard.
The
pistes
of
the
Sainte
Fo

area
are
perfect
for
beginners.

Looking
the
part
in
my
wind-proof
jack

and
salopettes,
I
headed
off
to
Ski

to
hire
my
boots
and
snowboard.
I
received
my
first
lesson
from
Ale
x
Rippe
(aka
Ale

who
took
me
through
the
basics
on
the
comfort
of
the

slopes.
Once
I8217d
understood
the
theory
behind,
if
not
the

I
took
to

With
a

of

the
magnificent

Sainte

is
a
snow

paradise,
with
plenty
of
scope
for
those
with
more

to

off
the
beaten
track.
Hurtling
down
a
mountain
with
a
plank
of

to
your

tak

a
certain
degree
of
courage
as
well
as
skill.
And
if,

given
your

a

of
a

those

But
whether
you8217re
a
novice
or
an
ex
pert,
there8217s
no
better
way
for
piste-lovers
to
unwind
in
the
evening
than
in
the
pub.
The

also
boasts
a
fine

the
fantastic

for

the

will
appeal
to
anyone
with
a
passion
for
adventure,
My
trip
to
Sainte

has
given
me
a
real
taste
for
snowboarding,
but
I
doubt
a
visit
to
Hillend
will
ever
be
quite
the
same.
