to get
healthyWe all like to live a healthy lifestyle, but
the option that is the most beneficial for
our bodies often seems to be the least
appealing one. With average working
hours getting longer, it gives less time
to cram in any significant physical
activity. Regular trips to the gym
are in many instances sidelined in
favour of other things. Those with busy lives can take solace in the
fact that there are ways to stay fit and healthy
without devoting hours to the cause. You can
even improve your health and wellbeing by
doing the tasks you do every day. You might
even lose a few pounds of 8216winter insulation8217 to
get a great beach body for the summer.
If you find housework is nothing more than a
nuisance, you might be surprised to know that 40%
of women admit to being cleanaholics. The recent
survey also said revealed that many Britons describe
household chores as being 8216mentally therapeutic8217. With
the average woman spending sixteen hours a week
cleaning, it is an ideal time to do some exercise.
Tidying up can give a workout without the need to leave
the house. Mopping the floor is good for muscle toning,
while washing the car burns 234 calories. The same can be
said for gardening as well if you have green fingers. An
hour of lawn mowing burns the same amount of calories as
an hour-long bike ride or planting seeds for an hour sheds
the same amount of calories as a couple of games of
badminton.
When it comes to workout, the good news is that short
blasts produce better results than longer sessions. If you
are after the perfect flat stomach, a long 45 minute run74
