service

people
better
access

ovision
to
enhance
rather
than

place
existing
family
doctor
services.
After
discussion
with
local
people,
the
PCT
agr
eed
the
new
services
would
be
located
in
Haverhill,
based
upon
identified
clinical
need
in
that
ar
ea.
This
development
is
being
supported
by
the
Haverhill
Locality
Gr
oup,
which
was
formed
fr
om
local
re
pr
esentatives
to
pr
ovide
local
advice
to
the
developm
ent.
Wo
rking
with
partners,
including
GPs
fr
om
all
thr
ee
sur
geries
in
Haverhill,
we
ar
el
ooking
at
the
options
for
services
to
be
pr
ovided
in
the
town.
In
line
with
the
Gover
nment
tar
gets
for
this
positive
initiative,
we
ar
es
cheduling
the
first
elements
of
the
new
centr
et
og
ol
ive
in
April
2009.
We
have
ag
ro
wing
and
ageing
population
and,
with
that
in
mind,
we
expect
to
see
mor
ep
eople
using
NHS
services
over
the
coming
years,
and
it
is
important
now
that
we
plan
for
this
demand
and
consider
dif
